Jerry Brown’s Latest Attempt to Silence the Bible AND Revival History

Governor Jerry Brown of California is pushing a pro-LGBTQ bill as quickly as he can through the California state assembly. This bogus anti-Bible bill now goes to the state Senate for a vote. If this heresy is passed, Assembly Bill 2943 could ultimately threaten free speech and freedom of religion for Christians in California, and perhaps spread to other liberal states like the cancer that it is. Trying to silence God has never gone well. The Bible clearly states that homosexuality is an abomination. That means ‘God said’, it is not an offhanded remark, nor was that a suggestion.

Is it coincidental that California is behind this attempt to silence God? The history of the the Great Azusa Street Revival, one of the greatest Pentecostal outpourings of recent history, is behind tightly closed doors, kept eerily silent, for now. Is Jerry Brown trying to erase the greatest revival of modern times? Is Brown purposely negating the Great Pentecostal Movement, forsaking the Gospel, just to appease the Gay Agenda? A resounding YES.

California is where one of the greatest revivals in human history was held, the Azusa Street Revival in Los AngeWilliam J. Seymourles:

“Christianity was forever changed by the Azusa Street revival in Los Angeles at the beginning of the last century. Services were held three times a day, 7 days a week during its glory days from 1906 to 1909. Led by an African-American pastor, William J. Seymour, the meetings were held in a run-down mission under the name Apostolic Faith. As unlikely as it seemed at the time, the Azusa Street revival was destined to become a major turning point in world Christian history…..Those humble believers who gathered at Azusa Street in 1906 could not have imagined the historic results of the revival they helped unleash in Los Angeles. Today, the worldwide Pentecostal movement is the recipient of many lasting, influential, and far-reaching legacies of the Azusa Street revival……The historical record shows that throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Africa the first reports of the new movement claimed that it began in Los Angeles under an African-American pastor…….Every classical Pentecostal movement around the world can trace its spiritual roots, directly or indirectly, to the humble mission on Azusa Street.” Read more here.

A visiting Baptist pastor said, “The Holy Spirit fell upon me and filled me literally, as it seemed to lift me up, for indeed, I was in the air in an instant, shouting, ‘Praise God,’ and instantly I began to speak in another language. I could not have been more surprised if at the same moment someone had handed me a million dollars.” Read more here.

All this being said, the Holy Spirit fell on Azusa Street in Los Angeles, creating the Assemblies of God, Church of God, Church of God in Christ, Foursquare Gospel, Pentecostal Holiness, to name just a few. History is history, God is not mocked, the Glory fell.

California may have forgotten it’s first Love, but now, more than ever, California needs the Gospel. TODAY. It would be pretty awful if they missed the greatest revival of all time, one that is soon to come, one that will define us all.

Regardless of what Jerry Brown espouses, homosexuality will always be an abomination, a sin against God. History is history, and the Bible is STILL the Bible, even if it becomes contraband.

PRAYER TIME: I claim Jesus FIRST.

Waiting to die is not the abundant LIFE Christ has for us or died for.

There is a time in our church service when Pastor asks what our prayer needs are. And as I looked around, I see and hear what is contradictory to FAITH. It seems to me thatbeach many Christians have faith in the Pastor and Church, not so much in what Jesus did for each of us at the Cross. Has the Church given up on the basics of Faith and left it at the foot of the….pulpit?

Do we limit God? We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed…” 2Cor 4:8-9.

In many churches, there is too much sickness and strife, and I have to wonder if they think that prayer is a magic wand for other people and they just get the bits and pieces left over. Do they not have enough or any faith for themselves?

Where is Faith? Yes, Faith in the Cross is key, but are Christians leaving Faith there rather than living through Faith in Him because of the Cross?

Can we ever truly realize the power God gave us? Is this preached or taught in the Church? The Pulpit has to equip their flock to have this power. Then, is the Pulpit keeping this ‘secret’ to themselves or are they NOT equipped? I wonder at times if Pastors want their flock to believe only he or she has the answer.

Paul said: “I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” 1Cor 2:3-5

Protestant Churches [Episcopal, UMC, UPC, etc] deny the power, thus the deity, of Christ and put themselves in the position to be as God to their congregation. They go AWAY from the Cross of Christ TO a worldly appreciation of abortion, gay agenda, and liberal social justices that deny God. Parishioners of theses denominations expect the ‘Pastor’ to do the work for them, using the Pastor’s magic wand.

Then, when I see our wonderful Saints in Church who are in agony and without hope, remember that healing and restoration is in the Atonement, and we simply have to have Faith:

And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.” So the Lord said, If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.” Luke 17:5-6

Get your head out of your hands, look up…and believe.

#2015 is the Year of…Awakenings?

The Bible is ALIVE, the beating heart of God. It is showing through literal signs and wonders that we are in the end of end times. The world will never get better but it may seem quiet at times. And like a quiet toddler in another room, be VERY afraid. This is what the Lord told me:

MYLIFEASACHRISTIAN

Three tubs of aborted baby remains going to the incinerator.

Abortion will continue to drop and a resurgence will erupt in certain states to literally draw ‘customers’, I feel they may be NY, CA, WA & IL. Roe makes sure that every state will offer abortion services even it it’s just one facility left in that state. The murderous Left chants ‘undue burden’ which is an outright lie. But we know that! But does the general population? Not yet. That is the job of prolife advocates and conservative elected officials.

The Church will continue to get bigger and bigger, although not necessarily in the right direction. Jesus is not the focus of the Church at large, this was hard to see in person, but see it I did – out loud on the public steps of the local Statehouse. There is a surging ‘morality’ that mimics a so-called ‘churchy’ quality to make the agnostics and atheists feel good about child murder [abortion], assisted suicide [euthanasia, eugenics, genocide] legalizing pot [gateway drug use & abuse], praying to ‘mother’ [mother earth and/or mother god], etc. Cults will be on the rise, as well.  The Cross will still be shunned by the ‘elite’ but more people are listening than we give them credit for. Keep preaching!

MYLIFEASACHRISTIAN

On Christmas Day, two people sorting thru a dumpster.

Addictions & Afflictions of all kinds will continue to spike because of the economy, medical system & imposed socialism. More and more people are cohabitating and living communal just to survive & live; daily living gets harder and nearly unachievable. Too many people are on the government dole because of Obamanomics which created and/or exacerbated more drug use and poor eating habits, all of which creates more dependency.  Kids begin getting medicated by the public school system for the malady du jour [ADHD, etc] which leads them to accept pill taking, medications of all kinds as normal. Since drugs were normal as a child, this continues into adulthood.

MYLIFEASACHRISTIAN

PJ can’t read or write; thru circumstances out of his control, he is homeless…at Christmas.

Electronics will become the parent, homeschooling will be attacked again. Too much technology has taken the form of a parent, babysitter, even a physical school. And while homeschooling is climbing, and it should, it will continue to  be attacked and the government will quietly try to make it illegal. Be vigilant, stay awake, read everything you can get your hands on. Mainstream media of any kind can’t truly be trusted, I suggest finding online radio/media outlets to balance out what you hear on television/radio. Balance is key.

Christians will be called on to step out in faith to take in the weak and rejected; a safe ship in the storm. Trust God. Simply that, trust God. Most of us are just one major indecent [cancer, accident, spouse’s death] from monetary ruin. Just one thing can send us out into the street, homeless. Jesus never had a place to lay His head, how then do we expect there to be a place for us? While we cannot control everything in our financial lives, we can live as Christ did to do for the ‘least of these‘…because there is a great chance you will find yourself needing the love AND benevolence of another Christian:

“And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.” Matthew 8:20

A homeless man asleep on the steps of a Church - their doors were closed.

A homeless man asleep on the steps of a Church – their doors were closed.

Random acts of crime will climb more than ever; ‘protesting’ will climb as well. Ferguson has taught us to keep an eye out for protesters even in our daily grind. People going to work will be kept from going, people going to the hospital may die in an ambulance just trying to get through a protest, kids may not get to school, government will be shut down from time to time, and it will get more and more violent.

Then what?

DO NOT FEAR BUT BE EVER VIGILANT! This world will never get better but we will have those calm moments, like with gas being under $2 [crummy example :D] but these momentary glimpses of calmness will be exactly that: MOMENTARY. These ‘lulls’ will keep people from rejecting the government norm of medicating the masses to keep them apathetic and lethargic. Take advantage of cheap gas, tax holidays, etc; but do not accept the message behind it. Bad times are here, the worst of times is coming.

And read THE BOOK! Your Bible will tell you all that will happen. Christians skirt around the Prophets of the Old Testament but I assure you, it is imperative that Christians read and learn about them to see what we have coming; remember BALANCE – the New Testament confirms what the OT foresaw. Click here to read the back of the Book….WE WIN!

God sent a Savior to help us and guide us…to protect us and save us! In the natural, it is UGLY…but in the supernatural, everything’s gonna be okay:

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

A Prayer of Praise for the Mourning Christian

Though You say You delight in me,
I find no comfort.
Though You say You love me,
I cannot feel.

And through my sorrow I see dimly
Because the enemy seeks me;
I loathe my encompassing skin
And know the serpent is watching.

What of the night, where is the Watchman?
My soul quakes in joy and apprehension.
Where is my Salvation
In the darkest of hours?

While I mourn and lament
Your promises come!
As You have pledged,
I will have peace.

Even through a renewed affliction
I hear Your voice;
Even in the darkest of the day
I have Your assurances!

O Lord, I am not alone and I am not forsaken;
For I am Yours forever and You are mine.

I will Praise You forever!
I am Yours!
My prayers have been answered
In the midst of my mourning.

Put the JOY back in Scripture

So many armchair, Monday morning quarterback preachers on Facebook; so many prophets, so many apostles…but few who know and understand the true Word OF God. There are no twists and turns, just the narrow way.

How many times have all of us read and re-read scripture but one day it just JUMPS at you? I don’t know about you, but that’s the exciting part of reading this Glorious Word! DO your due diligence. Actually, that’s the fun part of reading scripture! Dig, dig, and dig some more! The Bible is a treasure that when you dig deeper, it gets richer!

Matthew 11:28 says: “v28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. v29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. v30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

AND learn of ME! Oh, Jesus my JOY! You open this word to my heart more and more! I don’t know about you, but I’ve read that scripture in Matthew zillions of times and never noticed those four little words before: AND learn of ME!

Jesus wants us to rely upon Him, to trust Him, to love Him…and all He asks is that we LEARN of Him.

30 DAY PARENTING PRAYER CHALLENGE: Day 8

Have we paid for what we have done in our sinful past? Is there a time when we won’t have to be ridiculed and criticized? When do we have to stop paying for the awful things we have done? The answer is: If your faith is in Christ alone, your eternity is in Heaven and your sin will never be remembered by anyone ever again. BUT while you are on this earth, you will suffer the responsibility and the repercussions of that act of sin, whatever it was.

No matter how saved I am, no matter how much I go to church, no matter how much I read my Bible and pray, I will always be known for who I WAS. This is the lesson we try to teach our children; they mess up, they will suffer the responsibility of it. Then the question is: Have you forgiven YOURSELF: “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more“, [Heb 8:12].

To understand mercy…to receive mercy, you have to GIVE mercy.

King David suffered the consequence of what he did with Bathsheba and Uriah, “v10 Now therefore, the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised Me“:

“v13 So David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.” And Nathan said to David, “The Lord also has put away your sin; you shall not die. v14 However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme, the child also who is born to you shall surely die.” v15 Then Nathan departed to his house.” 2Samuel 12:13-15

When our kids are forlorn with the consequences of sin, we have to gird them up with prayer and love. Because we have been shown mercy in our times of trouble, we have to show them mercy. With mercy comes grace, with grace comes peace and freedom. I am not intimidated with pointed fingers anymore because I am a child of God, not the world. When our kids get their mind back – much like Nebuchadnezzar – they will be restored:

“v34 And at the end of the time I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me; and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever:

For His dominion is an everlasting dominion,
And His kingdom is from generation to generation.
v35 All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing;
He does according to His will in the army of heaven
And among the inhabitants of the earth.
No one can restrain His hand
Or say to Him, “What have You done?”

v36 At the same time my reason returned to me, and for the glory of my kingdom, my honor and splendor returned to me. My counselors and nobles resorted to me, I was restored to my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added to me. v37 Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all of whose works are truth, and His ways justice. And those who walk in pride He is able to put down.” Daniel 4:34-37

Pray for you children and grandchildren today, pray for understanding and restoration.

30 DAY PARENTING PRAYER CHALLENGE: Day 3

OBEDIENCE. Obedience is the one thing that we lack when it comes to the things of God. We forget how He never forgets us but we put Him to the back burner everyday. With obedience comes results. But have you noticed that your obedience to Him can be somewhat contentious? Your obedience to Him is yours alone, your petition is yours alone.

But…sometimes the ‘subject’ of our prayer, our children, really doesn’t want or care about our obedience to God:

v38 “You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’
v
39 But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.” [Matthew 5:38-39]

Isn’t it AMAZING how wrong parents are all the time? I don’t know a time in history that we’ve seen such DISobedience and disrespect of everyone and everything. Parents want their children to have love and respect, not disdain and irreverence.

Letting our kids determine our walk with the Lord or how we pray for them is like letting the tail wag the dog. My obedience to God is NONNEGOTIABLE.

My children aren’t my enemies, it just seems like it at times. My job as a parent to adult kids is to be motivated by prayer and not by their actions. We cannot possibly affect the body of Christ and take care of our own salvation if we allow our backslidden and unsaved adult kids to rule our spiritual lives.

Then, how many times am I going to turn the other cheek? As many as it takes.

Wednesday Night Bible Study: QUESTIONABLE THINGS, part 2

We are continuing a three part series regarding ‘Questionable Things‘. To summarize part one, the ‘questionable thing’ is defined:

What is the ‘questionable thing’? I’ve always said if you have to ask, you ought NOT to do ‘it’, whatever ‘it’ is. Somehow, it’s not that easy for some of my Christian brothers and sisters. Much like parents telling you to be a good example to your little brothers and sisters, we have to be a better example…a better Christian to those that are weak or struggling: “But beware lest somehow this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to those who are weak.” 1Corinthians 8:9

What ARE the questionable things? Every decision we make has consequences, good or bad. We either allow OR participate in these ‘questionable things’. Maybe you didn’t drink any alcohol, but did you have the party?

“v14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. v15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, ‘Abba, Father.’ v16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.” [Romans 8:14-16]

What does God say?

4. Is the ‘questionable thing’ by the leading of the Holy Spirit? I can’t imagine a Holy God that would condone any sin of any kind at any time. BUT we justify our actions by labeling God by our own system of checks and balances. GOD does NOT need our help, I assure you! And conversely, the Holy Spirit guides us to righteousness, not to sin. Ever.

  • Does allowing or participating in the ‘questionable thing’ bear witness to you? If you think it does, then you do not know God OR you are ignoring Him.
  • Are we ‘floating’ God? Remember the days of floating a check? The intent is there to pay that bill but the funds weren’t available. The same is with God; the heart-intent is there to not sin but the flesh-intent isn’t available.
  • Do we ‘hear’ God? We hear AND see Him through supernatural manifestations, healings, the Word of God [study] and other Christians [counsel]: “Then He said, ‘Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.’ And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.” [1Kings 19:11-12]

5. Does the ‘questionable thing’ PLEASE God? Is the ‘questionable thing’ a besetting sin? Simply, is this sin that you question the reason why you can’t fully come to Christ? Are you an adulterer…then STOP. Are you a smoker…then STOP. Are you an addict…then STOP; you get the idea. But this ‘questionable thing’…is it that one last thing that holds you onto the world?

  • How can God fully use you if you will not give up the ‘questionable thing’: “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.” [Hebrews 12:1]
  • Are you keeping His commandments, “v37 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. v38 This is the first and great commandment. v39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ v40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” [Matthew 22:37-40]

BELOVED, keep His commandments and you’ll see miracles: “And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.” [1Jn 3:22]

6. Can you do the ‘questionable thing’ in the name of Jesus? Oh, indeed…we are a woeful people that continue to use and abuse His precious name in vain! Ponder His name(s) listed in the Book of Revelation:

  1. Son of God (2:18)
  2. Son of Man (1:13)
  3. King of kings (19:16)
  4. Lord of lords (19:16)
  5. Alpha and Omega (22:13)
  6. Beginning and the End (22:13)
  7. First and the Last (1:17)
  8. Shepherd (7:17)
  9. Lamb (5:6)
  10. Lion of Judah (5:5)
  11. Heir to Davids throne (5:5)
  12. Faithful and True (19:11)
  13. Faithful and true Witness (3:14)
  14. Christ (12:10)
  15. The Living One (1:18)
  16. The Word of God (19:13)
  17. The bright morning star (22:16)

7. Can you give God thanks for the ‘questionable thing’? MANY DO, sadly. But is it biblical or right? Of course not. If we did then we would be saying that God is NOT God:

“v24 Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, ‘This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons’. v25 But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: ‘Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. v26 If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?'”

8. Does the ‘questionable thing’ bring God Glory? Our sins were never to bring any glory to God; He is grieved by our unfaithfulness and disobedience. “Everyone who is called by My name, whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.” [Isaiah 43:7]

We can only gain victory over sins and ‘questionable things’ through Jesus Christ: “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” [1Corinthians 15:57]

BELOVED, we are given, yes GIVEN, a new day everyday to say yes to Christ and NO to sin! The ‘questionable thing’ is there to keep you tied to the world and not to Him, but tomorrow is another day:

“v22 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. v23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. v24 ‘The Lord is my portion,’ says my soul, ‘Therefore I hope in Him!'” [Lam 3:22-24]

The Ugly Christmas Sweater

Everyone has one…the sweater that hides in the back of the closet and lies in wait for another season to openly laugh at us for having saved it and even worn it. Why do we keep the darned thing? Is it to lovingly remind us of that person OR do we keep it to prove to the sweater giver that we would never part with it?

However, my ‘Ugly Christmas Sweater’ is an analogy of sorts. We keep something that is not of us or for us. Every Christian has someone that is just plain ugly with their spitefulness and ridicule. Even worse is the ‘Ugly Christmas Sweater’ who is a backslidden Christian that can’t get out of their own valley that they created themselves.

Ah, the valley….the deep part of the valley.

All families, especially Christian ones, have someone that almost seems to enjoy making everyone else miserable, mostly because they are miserable. I am no exception, we have them, too…..and they LOVE to flex during the Christmas season with guilt, shame, ridicule, mockery, contempt.

It’s time to take off the ‘Ugly Christmas Sweater’.

I have chosen NOT to battle them. I think the battle gives them more strength to be antagonistic. Does not battling make it better or ‘digestible’? Not really, but I have my own relationship with the LORD that I protect with everything I’ve got.

The ‘Ugly Christmas Sweater’ is much like the past rearing it’s head to remind us of our weaknesses as Christians and what we will allow into our lives that can keep us in bondage to the ‘old man‘:

“v6…our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. v7 For he who has died has been freed from sin.” Romans 6:6-7

And:

“v21…if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: v22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts.” Ephesians 4:21-22

Our ‘old man’, our sinful past, was covered with the blood of Christ when we were born again, “There is therefore NOW NO CONDEMNATION to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit,” [Romans 8:1, emphasis MINE]. It should NEVER matter what our backslidden loved ones remember of our past sin:

“I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; and I will not remember your sins.” Isaiah 43:25

The valley is a lonely place. We don’t want our loved ones in the valley but God is God, I am not…He doesn’t like being ignored by puffed up backslidden Christians. He’ll take you where you do not want to go to get your attention.

Until the time comes when our backslidden loved ones gets their mind back, all we can do is take off the ‘Ugly Christmas Sweater’ and do what Jesus said at the Sermon on the Mount:

“But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.” Matthew 5:44

Free Things

NEVER pay retail: So, how many self-help books have you bought? How about Christian self-help books? What about sermon series that seem to go on and on and on and on without actually fixing anything?

AND even worse, before I became a Christian, I looked to EVERYTHING but God to guide me and fix me….how many of us have trusted horoscopes and television psychics? Yep, I even bought the books. SO SAD, but I’m so GLAD I found Jesus! Not that He was hiding, I just wasn’t looking.

Christians can be their own worst enemy. In my previous post ‘Questionable Things‘ I focused on the worldly things Christians wonder if they can still do, such as smoking, drinking, etc. If you are a Christian that understands STEWARDSHIP, this should be a no-brainer. If you understand stewardship then you understand what you should and should not do.

BTW: Worldly things, the ‘questionable things’, usually cost money we should not spend; it also costs us some of our sanctification.

Are you saved, BORN-AGAIN and still struggling? What if I told you that you can ditch the ‘questionable things’ and not pay one penny to keep your mind and spirit busy that will give you what you desire: PEACE?

FREE THINGS. Yes, FREE, given to us by our Holy God through Jesus Christ:

Salvation. “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us,” [Rom 5:8] Salvation has always been FREE, given to us by way of scourging, beating and humiliation of the only begotten Son of God, Jesus Christ our LORD.

Bible. “Now it happened, when the king heard the words of the Book of the Law, that he tore his clothes,” [2Kings 22:11]. Life went on in the time of Josiah, and it was word of mouth that kept Scripture alive…but imagine finding the true word of God hidden in plain sight? There are countries today that have outlawed Christianity AND the Bible! Here in the United States we take this free thing and let it gather dust on nightstands and coffee tables.

Prayer. “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God,” [Phil 4:6]. We can pray anywhere, anytime. There is no cap on how much we can pray. All it costs is TIME and SUBMISSION, and this is one thing that God really wants us to do all the time.

Praise/Worship. “And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the Lord, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying: ‘Praise the Lord, for His mercy endures forever’,” [2Chronicles 20:21]. The free thing that many Christians neglect is PRAISE & WORSHIP. We can praise Him anywhere, we can worship Him anywhere. And in this scripture reference, it’s noted that the singers and musicians were placed in front of the army to disable the enemy with His Praise, not empty riot. When we praise and worship, we see MIRACLES!

Fellowship. “And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers,” [Acts 2:42]. Even the Early Church knew that fellowship with other like-minded believers made them stronger and kept them from backsliding back to the ‘old man’. This free thing keeps Christians in precious communion with other Christians to edify, encourage and educate.

Regardless of what sin is besetting us, we know we have a God in Heaven that gives us exactly what we need. There is nothing else but Him and the free things He lovingly gives us.

Unlike one book (and the writer shall remain nameless) DON’T eat the cookie or BUY the shoes; instead take the free things God has provided…yes PROVIDED.
